Description: A lovely Italian Florentine gilt shelf. This pretty decorative piece dates from the mid 1900’s and is larger in scale than normal. Constructed from carved wood with its original gilt surface. The shelf has a scalloped edge, the undersides of the top are carved with radiating acanthus leaves. The bracket is supported by further scrolling leaves. Made in Italy stamped on the reverse. Just the right size of shelf for a several bathroom essentials to reside.

Condition: Very good. The shelf is strong and secure. There are 2 small hanging hooks to the top edge for installation.
